My Color Affection shawl finally got blocked! A bit less fancy than my usual blocking method, but it got the job done. It's giant! And quite wonderful.

Our friend is an incredible chef. Like amazing. We had this steak-3-ways smorgasbord that was by far the best meal of my life. Add in great friends and it was an epic night.

Surprise road trip! We have the time and plenty of people to visit so here we go! First stop - Rancho Mirage (next to Palm Springs) with my dad, aunt and uncle. Here's the "boys" enjoying cigars and port to end the night.

Adam took me out to Point Reyes for a lovely beach walk - and we saw whales!!! So close to the shore it was nuts. You can barely see it, but beyond the waves is a little evidence of one of the whales. I love being back in CA!

Another dog photo, this time of my family's labradoodle, Lollie. She is my dad's watchdog - this is her staring at him intently while he works in the backyard. Whenever he goes outside she makes sure to keep him in view - too cute!
